Altos Los Hormigas is a passion project that began in 1995 by Alberto Antonini and Antonio Morescalchi. All 530 acres of their property are split into specific plots for each grape variety based on the terroir that is best suited for each. After 6 years of organic farming, Altos las Hormigas Bonarda vineyard is finding its balance. The natural environment and interaction with other species (grass, herbs, etc.), the come-back of life in the soil and the evidence of deeper roots all contribute to a perfectly balanced wine. Tasting notes: Fruit forward with black cherry, green pepper, and a little leather and licorice. On the savory side.
